About Us...

We are a small “kennel” located an hour north of Melbourne, and been breeding, showing and promoting Finnish Lapphunds since 2007. During that time we have both produced and campaigned multiple champions, and dogs that we have bred have excelled in dog sports such as herding, obedience and agility.

We have been very successful in the show rings, breeding dogs that have won multiple class in show and group, best in groups and runner up best in groups. We always do well at breed specialty shows, and have won Best in Specialty Show under breed specialty judges.

However, while we enjoy the achievements of our dogs, they are first and foremost members of our family. For that reason, we are not a large kennel (with a council permit for 12 dogs), and our dogs spend their day with us and doing “dog things” on our 5 acre property.

In addition to our home bred Lappies, we are also very pleased to have been able to import a number of new lines into Australia, which we are now drawing upon in order to improve breed diversity, health and type. It is our aim to work closely with breeders here and overseas in ensuring Lappies have a great future in Australia.

When we breed we ensure that we undertake all necessary breed testing, including PRA and Pompes genetic screening, ACES eye testing and our dogs are all hip and elbow graded. We work collaboratively with other breeders and vets, both here and overseas, should any issues arise in the breed. Our puppies are raised in a typical family environment where they are accustomed to normal family life and early socialisation is a priority.

We also provide dedicated Breeder support to the owners of our puppies for the life of their Lappie.

We are registered breeders with Dogs Victoria and long time members of the Finnish Lapphund Club of Victoria. We have also completed the Victorian DPI accredited breeders certification.
